Andrew’s Book on Implementing Effective Procurement Operations
The objective of this book is to provide insight into the important components of the public procurement process. It is filled with examples to help both buyers and suppliers interpret and apply principles to maximize the benefits of the procurement process to ensure strong relationships and optimize value for money. It was not written with any particular group in mind, so I generalize by using the term “public sector procurement.”
These principles are applicable to any organization, but those that will get the most benefit out of them are hospitals, school boards, colleges, universities, charities, other not-for-profit organizations, health care facilities and those that supply products and services to these organizations. It is never an easy task to get inside the head of a buyer or a supplier, but this book provides insights from both sides.
